A Picture for Keeps

Here is a real example of how mature organizations respond to the unexpected.

When a devastating fire completely gutted our office, Jack Schron, President of Jergens Inc., expressed unwavering confidence that we would rise like the phoenix. His belief was simple yet powerful: JI was a mature organization, and the team would stand shoulder to shoulder, rebuild, and get operations back on track — making recovery almost an “all in a day’s work” effort.

The photograph below is from the formal inauguration of the new office in February 2024. It captures the emotion, resilience, and collective spirit of that journey. The details of the struggle almost fade into the background — the image speaks for itself.

I retired in October 2025 after a fulfilling tenure, grateful to have been part of an organization that demonstrated what true organizational maturity looks like in practice.
